About Douglas
Data Scientist | Data Storyteller | Runner
I’m Douglas Lawton, a data scientist with over 7 years of experience in utilizing data to communicate compelling narratives and make informed decisions for the betterment of society. My passion lies in transforming complex data into accessible insights that resonate with diverse audiences, from professionals to the general public through advance predictive modeling and compelling data visualizations.
At AgBiome, I lead a multifaceted effort that encompasses experimental design, the development of assay statistical workflows, predictive modeling to improve assay success rates, and spatial modeling aimed at diversifying our microbial collection. My work directly supports AgBiome’s mission, contributing to the enrichment of microbial resources and the promotion of sustainable and effective agricultural solutions.
In my free time, I enjoy playing my mandolin and running.
