I’m Douglas Lawton, a data scientist with over eight years of experience using data to tell compelling stories and guide informed decisions that make a real difference. I love taking complex datasets and turning them into insights that connect with people, whether that’s industry professionals, farmers, or the general public through advanced predictive modeling and clear, engaging visualizations.

I’ve worked across many agricultural domains from biopesticide discovery and plant breeding to blueberry production. My passion is feeding the world sustainably. I find the challenge of giving farmers the products and tools they need to face climate change and new pests both rewarding and inspiring. I’m as committed as I am curious when it comes to tackling these tough global problems.

Outside of work, I like to play my mandolin and get out for a run.
